PLAN FOR EDIT OF THRILLER

After creating an animatic of what we presumed would be a comfortable choice, and ordering, of our shots we soon came to the realization that not everything we intended to have within our thriller would be possible. Even shots such as the digging scene requires the prob of a shovel which was harder to obtain than first anticipated.
With the marvelous aid of a Sony Erikson torch we were able to do a small amount of filming during a night time filming session after we discovered that even filing in slight darkness means the camera won't record clearly enough.

Filming process

Over the past few days we have been filming, there were a few thing that we didn't not think about. Such as how quickly it would get dark this time of the year and the actors would have to wear the same cloths. As we did not think about this we are not too sure what the final out come would be like. Lets hope for the best.

Creating our animatic

After deciding a rough order in which to sequence our shots, we drew the them out onto a story board.

Thriller ideas

Ideas for thriller.

Victim at a party, laughing, joking with friends, possibly under the influence.
Can cut/flash between two scenes of the party, and then being chased, panic, tension.
Short scenes of a body lying on floor, twitching foot. The legs of a man, end of a spade (low shot) digging a hole. Eerie forest.

Characters
We are using two characters in our thriller and they are someone being followed and the kidnapper.

Props
From our ideas our props that we need is a spade, litter you might have at a party/ social gathering scene and a fag.

Title ideas.
We have been thinking about what the title could be from the start of the project. So far we have been able to come up with:
1. Buried.
2. Kidnapped
3. Eyes see all
4. Followed
5. Underneath

Pre Plan Ideas: looking at other thriller opening scene's we found the clip 'Surface' which we found very effective as the change between slow music and video into a fast paced ending, building suspense well and drawing in the viewer into the emotion of the clip. This has influenced us into making our own and changed our initial ideas, the opening sequence entitled "Surface" is a very sophisticated piece and has good use of transition switch, which has relative atmospheric qualities.
